It seemed too good to be true…and it was. The light does not turn on when the power goes out. You have to take it out of the fixture it is in and screw it into a supplied base to get it to work without external power.

Very bright light bulb with a constantly recharging battery. It recharges while in a light socket being used as a normal light bulb. What it DOES NOT do, is automatically turn on when there is a power failure (which is what the ads led us to believe).
